Dancing to Amadeus in the dark of a goth club takes me back to a vast cemetery in Vienna where a friend of mine (though no fan of yours) dragged me to your grave where a tall pale man in black was laying lilies whispering your name.
beautiful...this really is a marvel of a certain craft. I love the transition from dance to stillness....and yes the man was eccentric , so gifted was he..
wonderfully moody... and, well, i don't think he was a one hit wonder... amadeus was indeed his greatest hit but then there was Der Kommisar, Jeannie, Coming Home (Jeannie 2) and more...

This is a haunting vision. So simply stated. The last lines even sound ethereal.
By line 2, thw atmosphere is set. Wow. Very atmospheric and yes--haunting.
I adore the first two lines! Wonderfully mystical.
Oh ... and I've added you to my favorites list. I hope you do not mind. Cheers!
Impressive. Love the vivid imagery and the dark foreboding mood.
Oh, wow!!!!
I like this doubly--white lilies are my favorite flower, and I love 80's music, including the one and only hit by Falco.
Fireblossom, thanks and yes the one and only hit,
sara, noah, billy, jillypoet, crimsonflaw - thanks
beth - thanks for your comment and for linking to me!

Excellent and gripping poem even if I never heard of Falco--love the last 4 lines!!
Yes, this is very good, Juliet, the last four lines very powerful.
