Anticipation

You in a red dress
bright like passion
in the cold white room,
your earrings trembling.

He stands at the door.

my other red poem, still not showing on the Poetry Thursday site is on Crafty Green Poet

I guess that's why my poem made you smile. :)

Bright like passion... great line.

Trembling in passion? Desire? Fear?

Such a romantic poem, sums up perfectly that first date excitement. Made me smile, too.

Nice contrasts in this poem, hot/cold and strength/weakness.

"your earrings trembling" - aaah! I remember a night or two like this. Vivid image you have created.

OOOH... alter ego has it going on this week. I love the red image against the "cold white room".

Love the tension in this.

CGP,
Like this one a lot.
Vivid contrasts and strong tension/anticipation.

P.S. If you feel comfortable listing my link in your "art link" place on one of your blogs and your "poetry" links place, I'd appreciate it. I like being listed here, but it seems like a hole to be left out on the other blogs. If you'd rather not, no problem. Your organization on your blogs are your choice.
