Feminine Art for Inspire Me Thursday

I have been posting several old artworks recently, since the Inspire Me Thursday prompt of 'Abandoned Art' a few weeks back. This one seems to fit this weeks prompt very well so here it is. I'm happy with the faces but not with the bodies, the lack of definition between the two women's bodies may make a nice comment about the closeness of friendship or love, but i don't think it works as art. What do you think?

Yes I like the faces too, very nice, I don't know about bodies, if I hadn't read your opinion I think I've thought it's complete. Well I must say that I like it as it is. Beautiful.

Perhaps abstract organs in the blank bodies???

i think it totally works as art, the faces are wonderful and the way the bodies are makes me think about the various faces we put forth, or the closeness of love and friendship or the mind/body seperation or ... maybe i'm thinking about it too much ;-)

i really like it :)

I think it's complete, as much as any piece of art (visual or written) is.

If I hadn't read your comment about thinking it incomplete, it never would have crossed my mind. I love the way the space between them is so open, but suggests such density and closeness. I think it's a great piece!

I like the piece. It is very simple and powerful. Perhaps, you could include a line somehow to convey a connection in the middle of their bodies? Anyway, it's lovely.

very interesting thought provoking piece.

Bottomline: I like that you created art. Everyone, whether or not they feel they are an artist, can feel good creating.

That said, I like the lines of the bodies of these women. My mind fills in the invisible lines. I like fluidity and freedom of those lines. Enjoyed this post.

Thanks for all your comments. I particualrly like getting comments from more artistic people than me on my artistic efforts! It's nice encouragement thanks! Brian, i kind of like your idea, but if I tried it I know I would ruin the piece and given the overall positive sentiments about the way it is, I'll leave it as it is for now. Thanks!
