Lost

In your eyes
are the skies
and sadness
of your homeland

and the vastness
of your loneliness.

Pithy and to the point.

I don't know if the title is supposed to figure into the flow of the poem, but the first time I read this, I read "Lost in your eyes are the skies..."
Deep feeling expressed in just a few lines.

I like this piece Juliet. Sparse written with large scope. Nice!

Uuuuww... I like the back-black on this site. Is this your "dark side"?

Brian, Gautami- thanks!
Desert Rat - when I wrote it the title stood alone but yes I guess you can read it as a run on to the first line.
Rose - glad it touches you!
Daisies, Tammy - thanks!
Rob - Thanks, yes this is my dark side!

This is one of those poems where you say, "Oh. Yes!" after reading it...

Juliet,
Your right...the eyes, to someone who takes the time to notice, tell epic stories.

So much emotion in such a small space. Wow.

Actually I kind of agree with Desert rat that the title and first line read as one.
Quality work.
