Turn the Page

On page fourteen, an exploded plane –
Pilot error in overcrowded sky
Leads to fear and terror,
Many die.

On page fifteen, don’t miss the special offer –

Cheap flights to Spain

Flight for Writers Island

earlier this week I posted a haiku about flight over on Crafty Green Poet, you can read it here.

We are confronted with things like these in life, one holds us back, the other pushes us to go. For life are series of choices and one thing is sure one thing leads to another. I still believe that fear should not stop us from doing what we wanted no matter what. Be it the flight in page fifteen or fourteen, for in the end, our final flight is really back home to God.

I wish you well.

It sometimes seems that if we can't put the spin on it, it can't happen.

Juliet
I like these poems overlooked in everyday life.

I love the telegraph, matter of fact tone of this poem. Really sets you up for the second stanza. Nicely done. :)

This is chilling! Unfortunately, stories like this are getting so commonplace, they are buried on page 14! This well-written poem says so much in very few words!
