Yesterday we spent time at the Edinburgh Canal Festival. After walking along the canal, we sat in the sunshine at Lochrin Basin and listened to the excellent local band TrippyTakka.
They're a rock and blues band who write their own music (not a single cover version while we were there) and they deserved a much bigger audience than they got yesterday. They had a bubble machine on for some of their songs, and I tried to capture the lovely way the bubbles were catching the sun, but without any great success!

That brilliant sunshine at Lochrin Basin with a live blues band sounds like the absolute perfect way to spend a day at the festival. It is a shame they did not get the crowd they deserved, especially playing all original material, which takes serious talent. Trying to photograph bubbles in the sun is always a nightmare, though the mental image you created captures that festival atmosphere flawlessly.
That band has such a cool name, plus playing all original music at a festival is pretty bold. I love that you tried to capture the bubbles in the sun because those little festival moments are always the hardest to photograph but the best to experience. Lochrin Basin is a great spot to just chill out when the weather actually cooperates, so it looks like you found the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon.
