It wasn't finding that Santa didn't exist that upset her; but finding out her parents had been lying to her for years.

My first moment of genuine disillusionment with the adult world was when I was five and realised 'Santa' was just the school janitor. Aren't we the cheerful pair? Have a Happy Xmas. Who cares if there's no Santa as long as there're pressies.
